A HAMAC HT4018 telehandler has been shipped to a logistics warehouse in the Philippines, where it will be used to handle high‑level pallet stacking and cross‑docking operations across indoor and outdoor areas.
The 17.6 m, 4.0 ton machine was selected to give the operator a single piece of equipment capable of reaching the top levels of tall racking systems while also loading and unloading trucks in the yard.
The logistics facility features multi‑layer racking and a high roof, making vertical reach a critical factor in equipment selection.
With a maximum lifting height of 17.6 m and a rated capacity of 4,000 kg, the HT4018 can place palletized goods at the highest storage levels while maintaining the strength needed for heavy loads.
The telehandler’s maximum outreach of up to 12 m allows it to handle pallets over dock edges, ramps and obstacles, supporting cross‑docking tasks where goods move quickly between incoming and outgoing vehicles.
After final inspection and testing at HAMAC’s facility, the HT4018 was prepared for shipment, including boom transport locking, fork removal and securing key components for sea freight.
On arrival in the Philippines, the machine was unloaded, reassembled and commissioned at the warehouse, with local technicians checking hydraulic systems, brakes and safety functions before handover.
HAMAC’s regional partner provided operator introduction and basic maintenance training to ensure the telehandler could enter service quickly in the logistics operation.
The HT4018 offers a 4,000 kg maximum capacity, 17.6 m lifting height and 12 m outreach, making it one of the higher‑reach models in HAMAC’s telehandler range.
The machine is powered by a Yuchai diesel engine rated at 114 hp (85 kW), delivering up to 400 Nm of torque at 1,400 rpm, paired with a torque converter transmission providing four forward and four reverse gears and a top speed of 40 km/h.
With an overall length to carriage of 6.4 m, width of 2.35 m and height of 2.55 m, plus a 3.6 m wheelbase and 0.38 m ground clearance, the HT4018 balances stability under load with the ability to move around the warehouse yard and loading areas.
In the Philippine facility, the HT4018 is expected to handle several core tasks: stacking pallets on high racking, loading and unloading trucks, and transferring goods between outdoor staging zones and indoor storage.
Its higher reach allows the warehouse to make full use of vertical space, freeing up floor area and reducing the need for frequent re‑stacking as inventory levels change.
The telehandler will also support cross‑docking operations, where goods are moved directly from inbound vehicles to outbound shipments with minimal storage time.
The HT4018 is equipped with immersed multi‑disc service brakes on both axles, an automatic air‑cut parking brake and a FOPS‑compliant cab, contributing to safe operation in busy logistics environments.
Noise at the driving position is rated at 79 dB and noise to the environment at 106 dB, with hand‑arm vibration listed at 2.50 m/s², figures that the operator must consider when planning working hours and safety measures.
HAMAC’s local support network in the Philippines will provide spare parts, technical assistance and periodic inspections to help keep the telehandler available for daily operations.
The introduction of the HT4018 forms part of the warehouse’s broader plan to modernize its material handling equipment and increase capacity for regional logistics flows.
By combining high‑reach telehandler capability with existing forklifts and handling systems, the operator aims to achieve more flexible and efficient control over pallet movements.
